Liquidity providers (LPs) keep USDC in the escrow and set the terms buyers can trade at. Each completed order pays the LP in local money at the LP’s own rate. The spread between the LP’s buy and sell rates is the LP’s income.

Set up an offer

1

Deposit USDC

Move USDC into the escrow. Unlocked USDC is always yours to withdraw, with no Pesa signature needed.
2

Set rail terms

For each payment rail, set the currency, your minimum rate (fiat per 1 USDC), and the hash of the account that receives payments. A buyer cannot open an order below your minimum rate.
3

Stay reachable

Orders lock your USDC for a fixed window. Watch for payments and for orders where the buyer’s proof failed.

Rules that protect you

Selling to users

On the sell side you are the taker. You open orders against users’ locked USDC, pay them, and prove your outgoing payment from your own phone. Registered LPs are exempt from the retail order quota.

Risks to know

  • Frozen USDC. Circle can freeze an address. A release to a frozen address fails and the order stays open until it expires.
  • Reversals. Some payment methods allow chargebacks after a release. Accept only the funding sources your rail terms allow.
